Emery Hall’s process involves entering and engaging with unfamiliar environments without expectations- listening to the local space speak with its own voice of being. Finding heart in unscripted moments and the boundless nuances behind the adage, “this is how life has always been,” Emery seeks to evoke a sense of unity through her drawings and installations—creating a space that dissolves barriers and transcends forms of difference: whether of language, creed, class, geography, or the representation of Self.
